BSM are hosting a 'Lean in the Lab - Give your Lab the Edge' event taking place in Liverpool on Thursday 4th June in conjunction with Wyeth.

Laboratories are not the same as manufacturing environments. While most of the key principles of traditional Lean still apply, there are many unique challenges involved in effectively implementing them in laboratories. Lean in the Lab is not just about waste elimination or 5S. It is about significantly improving measurable performance and/or reducing costs.

This briefing will provide attendees with a comprehensive overview of Lean in the Laboratory and a unique insight into the challenges and benefits of implementing Lean in a busy laboratory as presented by BSM with a case study by Wyeth.

Tom Reynolds, Operations Practice Director, BSM will present on Lean Laboratory Concepts - an overview of Lean in the Laboratory - key issues, lean principles, solution concepts and implementation strategies.  Ciaran Crosbie - QC OE Specialist, Wyeth, Grange Castle will present a case study based on Wyeth's recently completed Lean Laboratory projects including key challenges, pitfalls and benefits.
