Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Report 2010

ERP Report 2010 from ERP Experts BSM This new report from BSM begins by describing the current ERP vendor and product landscape. It then sets out some of the challenges in ERP Strategy, Selection and Implementation and offers some guidance as to how these can be addressed.

The number of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation projects has declined drastically in recent years. Many organisations are struggling and have postponed capital investment unless absolutely essential. Opportunities for business growth are limited and many ERP proposals, even those backed up with a solid business case, are being rejected or deferred. Despite this, there is a small but steady flow of new ERP implementations. Moreover, there is general consensus that as the global recession eases, there will be a significant increase in ERP project activity as organisations reactivate postponed technology investment progrmmes and position themselves to take advantage of the economic upturn.

This report is intended for executives of organisations that are considering or planning implementation of an ERP system. It assumes a basic prior knowledge of ERP and therefore does not provide a description of the constituent components of ERP sytems.
