ERP Change Management

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) projects are complex and will involve a project team consisting of internal resources and consultants provided by the ERP vendor. BSM implementation services are designed to supplement the internal project team, where there are insufficient resources to fill all of the roles. The Change Manager role is one which BSM is often asked to fill. In most ERP implementation projects, the management of change will be one of the key determinants of project success.

At the start of most ERP projects, people within the organisation can be divided into three groups:

  • Change Positive: individuals who are project proponents and see the change it engenders as a good thing.
  • Change Negative: individuals who are against the project for one reason or another.
  • Change Neutral: individuals who adopt a "wait and see" approach and who see both positives and negatives in the impending change. Usually this is the biggest group and can swing one way or the other depending on the project delivery process and outcome.

Deliverables:

  • Ensure that as many people as possible are in the change positive group at the end of the project.
  • Ensure that all key stakeholders are fully aligned with the project objectives.
  • Ensure that communication takes place at the right time, to the right people via the right medium prior to, during and subsequent to the project.
  • Management of the transition to new roles, responsibilities and organisational structures.

  • Optimised performance of your project team.
  • Reduced time and effort required to implement the project.
